Today, we conclude our study in Jonah. One of the more profound, and likely difficult, teachings of Jesus is found in Matthew 5:44, “Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you”. Jonah is faced with this very dilemma as the Ninevites respond in faith to God’s message for them. But, Jonah’s response is also likely a mirror into our own hearts as we grapple with the question – What do we do when God loves our enemies and we don’t?
