When We Need a 2nd Chance

Today in the Lord’s Supper, we will celebrate and remember the astounding sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ as payment for sin, and the astonishing gift of forgiveness and grace that comes through faith alone in Jesus alone. As we approach God’s Word, we find Jonah now in the belly of the great fish, humbled and repentant. Jonah, for the first time, acts like the prophet he is and prays. God’s mercy and grace is made known to Jonah in his rebellion and sin. A reminder for us that we are not lost if we will but turn to God in faith.
