Anticipating Arrival

One of the things which sets the Christmas season apart from other times of the year is music. Radio stations change their entire line-ups to play Christmas music, schools roll out their Christmas plays and cantatas, and churches begin to sing the hymns and songs which mark the advent time. This advent, we are going to take some time to focus on several songs of advent to prepare our hearts to celebrate the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ. This first Sunday of Advent we’ll look at the theme of anticipation and the hymn, O Come, O Come Emmanuel.
