Being Jesus' Family

We’ve all heard the phrase “blood is thicker than water”; the bond of family often outweighs the bond of friendship or other relationships. As Chapter 12 closes, Jesus turns this on its head teaching that among His followers, the bond of disciples to one another through faith in Jesus is stronger and to be more highly valued than the bond of family.
