Prayer Line for December 31, 2024

Prayer Line for December 31, 2024

"So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was being built up. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it multiplied." - Acts 9:31

There are many people who are dealing with cancer treatments, other health issues, and many people who have lost loved ones this past year. Pray for God's peace and healing for those in our congregation who are hurting this time of year.

Pray for Brad Fast and family on the death of his mother, Doris, who passed away Sunday, December 29th. Her service will be held at the First Mennonite Church in Reedley this Saturday, January 4th, at 11am.

Please pray for Jacqueline Hernandez as she awaits a decision regarding her continued education. Also pray for wisdom and guidance in parenting.

Be in prayer for Adrian Caspian as she will be having her gallbladder removed on Thursday the 26th. Pray for a successful surgery and a quick recovery.

Parkway Ministry Needs - The Parkway Ministry Team is gearing up for their next outreach January 11. They will meet during the day and set up tables and chairs in one of the empty lots to serve cookies, hot cocoa, and miscellaneous items for winter to the people in the area. Last year was a big hit! They had many women (and children) as well as men asking for prayer and great conversations about God. They are looking for the following items: Cookies/Bars (easy to grab single servings) unisex gloves, and warm socks. Please drop off your donations in the church office as soon as possible.

Our Missionaries of the Week are the Reedley MB Church going to Ensenada, Mexico for the Village of Hope International ministry from December 31, 2024 to January 5, 2025. The Village of Hope International schedules short-term mission opportunities for volunteers to build homes for the hard working farm labor families living in the area. A family will buy the land for the home to be built and then they will be obligated to a monthly mortgage payment for the home. A home can be constructed in three days. The newly constructed home will be an improvement from their present home, which is a small shack made of pallets and scrap of wood with dirt floors. Pray for the group for safety in travel to this ministry and that the team’s expenses will be covered, which will include using their own vehicles, vehicle insurance in Mexico, food and lodging. The joy of seeing the family receiving the key to their new home will be a priceless sight for our group. They thank you for you financial and prayerful support.
