Missionary of the Week - RMBC Mission Team to Lakeview Church in Utah. Pastor Phil Wiebe and wife Melissa moved to Tooele, Utah in the spring of 2008 and began the process of starting Lakeview Church. The church was launched on Easter of 2019 and is a United States Mennonite Brethren Church. God has led this church to plant churches where the population is over 50% LDS and less than 10% Evangelical and to plant churches where it appears no one else is planting. Our RMBC mission team will be helping the church with a community BBQ on Monday night June 19. On Tuesday the team will gather together at a local retreat area for a time of worshiping and praying for God’s spiritual guidance and understanding for their mission. There will be an opportunity to visit a LDS temple to gain knowledge of the Mormon faith. Thursday to Saturday will be the Kid’s Camp at which the team will be fully engaged with the church members. Sunday will be a church service at the Lakeview Church in Stansbury Park for all. Pray for lasting relationships that will be developed between our team and the Lakeview Church. The church will be hosting our team in separate host houses. Pray that the outreach on Monday night’s community BBQ and the Kid’s Camp will produce interest for families to attend this church. Pray for our team for safe travels and good health. Pastor Phil and the Lakeview Church thank you for your financial support and your prayers.
