Praying for our People
Volunteers are needed for the Food Giveaway tomorrow, September 3rd, 8-noon at the Tri-County parking lot.
Please continue to be in prayer for Jakob Jost. He is the ten year old son of Matt & Kate Jost, and grandson to Sue Jost Peters. Following surgery last week they did receive a pathology report that the tumor was cancerous. Boldly ask the Lord to give healing to his body and peace for his family.
Pray for Don Beckenhauer as he is in the hospital with some health complications. Pray for a clear diagnosis, quick healing, and recovery for our brother.
Pray for Terry Lane and family, on the death of his mother, Betty Williams Lane, on August 11th. Her service will be at Reedley Dopkins Chapel on September 2nd, at 11am.
Pray also for the family of Dean Parento. Dean passed away August 10th. His Celebration of Life will be the afternoon of September 16th at Les Travioli River Ranch. The time is unconfirmed.
Missionary of the Week - Bob Hilts, from One Challenge, ministering in Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan in one of the largest Central Asian countries and 98% of the people are Muslim. In the year 2000,Bob joined a team of missionaries to help start Christian camps in Uzbekistan. The country was anti-Christian, so doing ministry there was not easy. Much of the teaching is done in secret places to avoid raids by anti-Christian police. Pray for protection from a hostile government and religion and for wisdom for the local teams planning conferences, camps, and events that will bring many to Jesus. Since 2000, Bob has returned to Uzbekistan three times. Bob is presently battling pneumonia. Let’s pray for Bob to overcome the pneumonia and have a full recovery. He plans to return to Uzbekistan when he is fully healthy.
