Praying for our People
Please continue to be in prayer for Jakob Jost. He is the ten year old son of Matt & Kate Jost, and grandson to Sue Jost Peters. Following surgery last week they did receive a pathology report that the tumor was cancerous. They are meeting with medical teams today and he is scheduled to have surgery on Friday to put in a port for chemotherapy. Boldly ask the Lord to give healing to his body and peace for his family.
Pray for the family of Greg & Nora Lewis on the death of Greg's mother, Linda Lewis, on August 17th. Services are being planned for a later date.
Pray for Terry Lane and family, on the death of his mother, Betty Williams Lane, on August 11th. Her service will be at Reedley Dopkins Chapel on September 2nd, at 11 am.
Pray also for the family of Dean Parento. Dean passed away August 10th. His Celebration of Life will be the afternoon of September 16th at Les Travioli River Ranch. The time is unconfirmed.
Missionary of the Week - Pastor Phil Wiebe, Lakeview Church in Utah. The Lakeview Church is a United States Mennonite Brethren Church launched on Easter of 2019. On Easter of 2021, a second church campus was opened in Grantsville, Utah. The goal of this church is to help people find the joy and freedom that comes with having a relationship with Jesus. God is leading this church to plant churches where the population is over 50% LDS and less that 10% evangelical. Last June, RMBC sent a group of twenty-five volunteers to help Pastor Phil with the church’s weeklong outreach programs. Pray that the Lord will bless Pastor Phil and he will be able to use his gifts and talents to enrich the people attending Lakeview Church. He thanks you for your prayers and support.
