Prayer Line for August 30, 2022
Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body. He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. So he is first in everything. ~Colossians 1:18
Praying for our People
Pray for the Kairos prison ministry that will be going inside Valley State Prison Chowchilla Friday through Monday to conduct a “short course in Christianity”, sharing the redeeming love of Jesus Christ with 34 residents. Pray that nothing shuts down the access to go inside the prison. Pray for soft and receptive hearts in the men inside VSP. Pray for the health and energy of the 20 volunteers from the outside. Pray that we may be filled with the loving Spirit of Jesus Christ that we will help the men inside understand that they are first and foremost loved and secondly that they can experience forgiveness and redemption through Jesus. Pray for our families that we leave at home for the three day weekend.
Please pray for Mary Brandt's grandson, Ezra Brandt. He is 8 years old and has been at Valley Children's hospital since Saturday afternoon with breathing problems. He must have oxygen all the time and the doctor's are struggling to find the right meds to make him better. Pray they find the right medicine and that he'll go home soon.
Missionary of the Week: Carmen Owen. Carmen serves part-time with Multiply in Partnership Development and as Business and Ministry Liaison with Naomi House and Shalom Farm in Chiang Mai Thailand. Praise the Lord for a great temporary provision of a larger space for Naomi House's weekly worship gathering! Please continue to pray for just the right provision for a larger space for production and community development as well as for worship and discipleship. Pray for a Naomi House seamstress and leader of prayer ministry. Several years ago she and her family escaped from persecution in their homeland, eventually finding refuge in Thailand. This week, she is on a very risky “undercover” mission back to her home village to share the Gospel with her dying mother. Her mother’s failed attempts to find healing through the local witchdoctor and spirit offerings gives her an open door to share the hope she has in Jesus. Pray for hearts ready to hear and receive the message of salvation in Jesus!
