Prayer Line for October 1, 2020
"May the Lord Answer you in the day of trouble! May the name of the God of Jacob protect you!" - Psalm 20:1
Praying For Our People
- Be in prayer for the family of Annie Sawatzky as she passed away last week. A graveside service is planned for this Friday, October 2, at 2pm at the Reedley Cemetery. A memorial service will follow at Reedley Mennonite Brethren Church at 3pm.
- Please be in prayer for Anne Rempel. She is in the hospital with pneumonia and they will be doing a lung procedure to determine the next steps in her care.
- Please pray for Jackie Horn. She was taken to the hospital earlier this week with breathing issues. She is doing better and should be home soon.
- Continue to pray for Ruth Penner as she continues to improve. She is now out of the hospital and has been moved to a rehab center. Praise God!
- Pray for Duane Friesen as he starts radiation and chemo treatments this week. Pray for safe travels and continued healing, and God's presence to be known.
- Pray for Rachel Gonzalez and family as she is being treated for stage 4 cancer. Rachel received some positive results from the treatments. She is feeling better and is encouraged.
- Please be in prayer for Ken and Patty Thiesen as Ken had a bone marrow transplant last week at Stanford. Pray that the procedure will be successful, for strength, healing, peace, and the Lord's presence for Ken and his family.
- Pray for Roy Peak as he continues on hospice care. Pray for Eldoris and Robyn Wall as well. Eldoris is currently only able to see Roy via Facetime depending on staff availability and scheduling. Continue to lift them up in prayer.
- Pray for the firefighters as they battle the fires around the Shaver and Huntington Lake area.
Praying for our Nation and World
- Continue to pray for our health care workers, first responders, law enforcement, firefighters, and those who serve and protect us in these turbulent times. Pray that the Lord would protect and strengthen them as they go to work each day.
- Let's pray for one another. COVID has affected all of us. May the Lord draw us closer to Himself and give us boldness and opportunities to share the Gospel with family, friends, and neighbors.
Praying for Our Ministries:
- Pray for wisdom and insight for our RMBC leaders as they make decisions that affect our church ministries. Pray that the Holy Spirit will give us new ways to share the Gospel and unity within the body.
- Missionaries of the Week: Michael Thompson, serving with Multiply as West Coast Regional Mobilizer. As situations and countries begin to open, pray for opportunities for teams to go out to emerge. Pray for partnerships to be developed, and for disciple-making opportunities to be made
clear.
- Pray Luke 10:2 with us each day at 10:02 am, asking the Lord of the harvest to raise up harvesters from RMBC for His harvest fields.
