Prayer Line for April 10-12, 2020

Prayer Line for  April 10-12, 2020
"And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they went in they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel. And as they were frightened and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, 'Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but has risen...'" Luke 24:2-6

During this Passion Week, we encourage you to follow the daily events in scripture and reflect on what Jesus has done for us, especially in these last days before the crucifixion and His resurrection.
- Today's events: Today is Good Friday, the bleakest day in the Gospel story. Reading the story of Jesus' arrest, trial, and crucifixion today, we have the benefit of knowing that it is all leading to the triumph of Easter. But to the disciples living through those events, it would have seemed like their whole world was falling apart. Being two-thousand years removed from these events, it is hard to put ourselves there. As you read and listen to the events of Good Friday, imagine what it would have been like to be there, not knowing that your Savior would rise again. Also, remember that it was your sin that put Jesus on the cross. He paid your sin debt on that cross. Praise God!!
Here are the Scriptures that record our Lord's Passion.
Matthew 26:47-75; 27:1-66
Mark 14:43:72; 15:1-47
Luke 22 and 23
John 18 and 19
