Prayer Line for November 27-29, 2020

Prayer Line for November 27-29, 2020
"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear" - Psalm 46:1-2a

The office will be closed Thursday and Friday of this week in observance of Thanksgiving.

Please read this message from Pastor Malcolm regarding our Sunday morning services:

My Dear Church Family,

Since Tuesday of this week, I have been getting a steady stream of folks in the church, almost exclusively choir members but not limited choir members, who have tested positive for COVID-19. As of Thursday, we have 10 confirmed cases, and are waiting on test results for several more. Further, Chapter One has also had a few cases among teachers and will be closing the school for 14 days.

We want to get ahead of this as best as possible and are asking for your patience and help as we move forward. Therefore, we are suspending all activities at the church for this Sunday, with the exception of the in-person worship service at 9 am. We will be revisiting this decision on Monday, November 30, and take it on a week by week basis through the month of December.

For this Sunday, November 29, all Sunday School (Adult and Children), choir, youth groups, nursery, children’s church, fellowship time, etc. will not meet. We are also suspending all groups from meeting during the week of November 30 – December 4. There are other events on the calendar for December, and will need to assess those on a case by case basis as things progress.

We are asking again, if you choose to come to our in-person worship service, please social distance, sit in family units, and abide by the taped off areas. We again strongly encourage you to wear a mask. If you are feeling ill at all, please stay home and join us online for the worship service.

Please be in prayer for our brothers and sisters in Christ who have tested positive. Please also be in prayer for our church, church family, and others whose lives have been affected by this virus. Our God is in control, and our God is with us. May we continue to lean upon and trust in Him during this time of trouble.

Peace,
Pastor Malcolm
